Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Digital Pustak ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you visit digitalpustak.online or purchase our digital publications. We are based in India and operate this website as a seller of digital products.
The short version: we collect the minimum needed to sell you an e-book and to understand which advertisements work. We never see or store your card details, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide at checkout. When you buy an e-book, our payment processor collects your name, email address and phone number so the purchase can be completed and a receipt issued.
Payment information. Card numbers, UPI IDs, net-banking credentials and wallet details are collected and processed entirely by Razorpay, our payment gateway. This information never passes through our servers and we have no access to it at any time.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we receive standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, the pages you view and the time spent on them.
Communications. If you email us for support, we retain that correspondence so we can help you and keep a record of the issue.
2. Cookies and advertising technology
This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tracking tool provided by Meta Platforms Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). It places cookies in your browser and records actions such as viewing a page, clicking a purchase button and completing a purchase.
We use this to measure whether our advertisements are working and to show relevant advertising to people likely to be interested in our books. Meta may combine this data with information it already holds about you if you have a Facebook or Instagram account. Meta's own handling of that data is governed by its privacy policy, not ours.
You can limit this in several ways: adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, block third-party cookies in your browser, or use a browser extension that blocks trackers. Doing so will not prevent you from buying or reading our books.
3. How we use your information
- To process your payment and deliver the e-book you purchased
- To send you your receipt and any transaction-related messages
- To respond to your support requests
- To measure and improve the performance of our advertising
- To detect and prevent fraudulent transactions
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations
We do not use your information to send marketing messages unless you have separately agreed to receive them.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Razorpay — to process payments and issue refunds
- Meta Platforms — advertising measurement data, as described above
- Our hosting provider — which stores the website files
- Government authorities — where we are required to do so by law
5. How long we keep your information
Transaction records are retained for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, which is generally eight years. Support emails are kept for up to three years. Advertising cookie data is retained according to Meta's own retention periods.
6. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data of yours we hold
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your personal data, where we are not legally required to keep it
- Withdraw any consent you have previously given
Write to digitalpustakonline@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.
7. Children
Although our books are about children's online safety, they are written for parents and guardians. This website is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and payments are handled by a PCI-DSS-compliant gateway. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on our home page.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, the contact details of our Grievance Officer are:
